About the role
The Duty Manager is responsible for the running of the HoteI while on duty.his includes Guest Relations duties throughout the lobby, Front desk area, food and beverage, housekeeping and facilities management.he Duty Managers are the people who ensure a first class initial impression of the HoteI, and help keep guests informed at busy check in and out periods where communication is key as well as the overall care, hospitality and service given to our guests throughout their stay.You will enjoy working as part of a team in a fast-paced environment, on a rotating shift basis.r>
Assist with management and support of daily HoteI Operations.r>Ensuring that brand standards are met and guest expectations are exceeded.r>Handle guest requests, inquiries and complaints promptly.r>Handle any management issues or emergencies that arise, record and resolve as necessary.r>Maximise sales revenues through up-selling and marketing programs within the department.r>Maintain knowledge of HoteI products, services, policies and emergency procedures.r>Ensure your team maintains a professional manner and are up to date with guest movements, HoteI events, local attractions and activities.r>Complete projects that drive our KPI's.r>Ensure all Guest Review and correspondence is completed within 24 hours.br>Make routine checks of the HoteI, checking the public and service areas for tidiness and security reasons.r>Any other duties assigned by the General Manager and Operations Manager.r>Adhere to HoteI selling strategy by ensuring the use of OnQ PM rate controls.r>Actively promote selling and up-selling initiatives at Reception, through the use of RevMax.r>Ensure all relocations are handled in a diplomatic and professional way by yourself.r>
What are we looking for-
To be successful in this role, you should have a positive attitude and the following experience and skills
A degree or diploma in HoteI Management or equivalent
A minimum of 1 years of Front Office supervisory experience in the HoteI, leisure, and/or retail sector
Fluent in the English language in order to communicate professionally with guests and team members, both in person and over the telephone
Excellent leadership, inter-personal, training and development skills
A passion for delivering exceptional guest experiences
Computer literate
Demonstrated ability to resolve problems and conflict, and work efficiently under pressure
Well-presented, organised and calm personality
