About the Service

The Perioperative Unit operates a 24 hours a day, 7 day week service.est Moreton Health provides numerous clinical specialties to the community including General Surgery, ENT, Orthopaedic, Obstetrics and Gynaecology, Urology and Fascio-Maxillary.t is expected that the successful applicant will be able to perform the role of Circulating and Instrument Nurse in all these areas, as well as floor coordination.ursing staff within the perioperative unit be required to do on-call shifts as part of their roster.p>

About the role

This role provides the delivery of clinical care and support specific to surgical patients within the Perioperative setting.p>

The Clinical Nurse provides contemporary clinical leadership and care within a specific area supporting the general function of the unit through the application of best principles, education, leadership and portfolio management in the application and role modelling of professional nursing standards in accordance with the Nursing and Midwifery Board Australia NMBA.p>

About you

Our ideal candidate will be someone who can demonstrate the following

Demonstrated advanced clinical knowledge in the area of Perioperative nursing delivering expert nursing care in complex situations while providing support and direction to other team members.r>Demonstrated ability to coordinate staff and manage delegated resources including prioritising needs and supporting day-to-day changes.r>Demonstrated ability to communicate effectively with members of the healthcare team, patients, relatives and visitors and maintain a positive workplace culture through well developed consultation, liaison, negotiation and conflict resolution skills.r>Demonstrated ability to role model excellent standards of comprehensive, evidence-based nursing care and documentation to facilitate quality patient outcomes, in accordance with National Safety and Quality Health Service and professional standards.r>
