The Pre/Post-Operative PACU Registered Nurse in GI Lab performs nursing care for patients from admission to discharge across the preoperative and postoperative period. Care involves assessing, communicating patient status, performing nursing procedures, completing a preoperative checklist, coordinating with anesthesia personnel, completing preoperative orders, and documenting care given. The Registered Nurse must transmit the ability to assure that the patient's needs are met through the continuum of care while providing support to facility staff and the GI physician.Make a difference every single day!

As a GI Lab PACU Nurse you will!
- Administer and perform Moderate Sedation as per the “Sedation” policy.
- Demonstrate knowledge of pre-procedure and post anesthesia care procedures, physical, emotional, psychological and other special needs of a patient undergoing GI procedures
- And, demonstrate knowledge of implements pre-procedural testing and other clinical guidelines and protocols as appropriate and integrate data received, initiating early and appropriate interventions
- In addition, participate in at least 50% of unit meetings and provide constructive input to assist in unit direction.
Graduate from an accredited nursing program required
Current, unrestricted California RN license required
A minimum of 1 year of acute care nursing experience required
