Provides primary services to patients. Nurse Practitioners will work with direction and supervision from responsible physicians.   The Nurse Practitioner will function in an expanded role and will provide urgent and emergent care to patients within the scope of licensure by the state and professional training. While practicing medicine under the protocols of a supervising Physician, will utilize skills, knowledge, and experience to obtain complete medical histories, perform comprehensive examinations, order and initially interpret diagnostic laboratory and radiological studies, collaborates with patient and Physician in the planning of therapeutic interventions for the care of this patient population. Master's degree in Nursing required. Certified Nurse Practitioner (CRNP) required.

Familiar with a variety of the field's concepts, practices, and procedures. Relies on experience and judgment to plan and accomplish goals. Performs a variety of tasks. May lead and direct the work of others. A wide degree of creativity and latitude is expected. Typically reports to a manager or head of a unit/department.
