POSITION: PLUMBER - GRADE 7

LOCATION: Plant Operations Office. Normal duties will require travel within City limits

REPORTS TO: Plant Operations Director

WORK YEAR: Year Round: 9:00AM -5:00PM (Monday through Friday)

STARTING: ASAP

RATE OF PAY: $27.85 / hr, after 90 day probationary period.

(during probationary period, the wage rate will be 5% less), additional $0.10 per hour differential will be paid to employees required to hold a gas fitters license once that license is obtained.

QUALIFICATIONS:

New Hampshire Master Plumber's and Gasfitter's License for Grade 7 position is required. At least five years experience working in related fields, with a thorough knowledge of water supply systems, heating, drainage, sanitary, and storm systems maintenance procedures. High School graduate diploma or equivalent. Ability to relate well verbally and in writing with faculty, staff, students and the public. Must possess a valid Driver's License and be able to lift and carry objects weighing up to one hundred (100) pounds, with assistance. Will be required to have CFC recovery License within one year of hiring.

SUMMARY OF RESPONSIBILITIES:

This position is responsible for conducting repairs and maintenance on plumbing systems in the school district, and for assisting the Maintenance Mechanic - HVAC&R in the repair and maintenance of school district HVAC systems. Follow all safety rules and regulations, industry-standard practices and federal, state, city, and school district policies.
