Position Summary: The Commissioning Engineer is responsible for providing Process Engineering support during factory and site acceptance testing for Dürr Systems advanced energy storage market. This is a field support position reporting to the Service Manager. This position collaborates with engineering, manufacturing, and R&D teams. Pre project support and post commissioning support are essential responsibilities of this position. This position requires travel and possibly extended stays at customer sites.

Essential Functions and Responsibilities

* Responsible for commissioning equipment required for coating of lithium-ion battery electrodes
* Responsible for conducting functional tests
* Cooperate with individuals and site teams to ensure successful commissioning of the plants
* Oversite of factory acceptance testing (FAT) at the DePere, WI facility
* Oversight of site acceptance testing (SAT) at the customer facilities
* Identification of improvement opportunities
* Collection of field operating data and troubleshooting process issues
* Problem solving / problem resolution
* Process definition and process improvement
* Provide standby and customer support
* Provide technical service to customers relating to use, operation, and basic maintenance of equipment
* Support field personnel
* Work as part of a team on major projects or individually on smaller projects
* Train customers on Dürr Systems products
* Travel for the company, international travel is required

Qualifications

* An Associate Degree or equivalent in an appropriate subject (e.g., engineering, field service) or equivalent industry experience
* Familiar with roll-to-roll coating technology
* Familiar with electrical and mechanical engineering principals
* Good time management skills
* Good organizational skills
* Good verbal communication skills
* Good technical writing skills
* Able to work well independently and in a team environment
* Able to technically define problems and propose solutions
* Adaptable to change in a learning environment.
* Willing and able to work overtime, weekends, and holidays

Expected Hours of Work:

This is a full-time position. Days and hours of work vary based on need. May be required to work holidays or weekends. Overtime may be required.
