ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

The Bookkeeper is part of RiseBoros Seniors Division administrative team. Duties and responsibilities include:

* Process all invoices for operational expenses for programs assigned;
* Regularly review general ledger and fiscal reports to ensure accuracy; take necessary actions to initiate corrections as necessary;
* Support the program staff with the goal of minimizing the administration tasks;
* Maintain a filing system for all financial documentation/records, including cash receipts and cash disbursements logs;
* Maintain petty cash and contributions funds secure and ensure reconciliations are done on a timely basis;
* Maintain fundraising and report reconciliation;
* Preform weekly deposits and ensure deposit adjusting entries are completed;
* Assist with monthly summary unit report;
* Keep up to date equipment records for programs assigned;
* Ensuring accurate cost allocation of expenses across appropriate funding source contracts and across catered sites if applicable;
* Managing program gas card(s), including distribution, organization of log, and reconciliation of receipts and statements for the program if applicable;
* Assist in ordering of office, cleaning (household) and disposable supplies;
* May be asked to assist kitchen staff with orders and inventory as needed;
* May be asked to assist with food use calculations;
* Prepare and maintain internal financial trackers for programs;
* Assist the Financial Manager with gathering information needed in preparation of annual budgets, monthly vouchers, and program budget modifications;
* Will be cross trained across all divisional programs to ensure there is coverage at all times;
* Other duties as assigned by the Financial Manager and or Program Director.

Home Delivered Meals specific duties include:

* Work with sub-contractors to ensure invoices are accurate and sent over for processing on a timely basis;
* Complete sub-contractor contribution adjusting entry;
* Reconciling HDML contributions and ensuring the log is kept by client name; may be asked to record data on funding source database;
* Work with Fleet Coordinator on obtaining needed repair quotes for vehicles as requested.

Other task related to Older Adult Centers as needed:

* Assist in entering and in reconciliation of units of service on funding source database;
* May be asked to cover the front desk and perform other related clerical duties;
* Assist with transportation coordination as needed.

COMPETENCIES

* Detail oriented, disciplined and organized
* Knowledge of bookkeeping principles
* Experience working for a non-profit organization a plus
* Excellent verbal and written communication skills
* Proficient in Microsoft Office suite, especially Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and Publisher
* Commitment to the organizations mission, vision, and values
* Ability to understand the concepts of institutional and structural racism and bias and their impact on underserved and underrepresented communities
* Have a commitment to supporting communities who have experienced systemic oppression and bias (e.g. people of color, LGBTQ+ people, immigrants, justice-involved persons, etc.)

EDUCATION EXPERIENCE

* Bachelors Degree with a major in business, finance, math or any other related field preferred;
* Associates Degree and one year of bookkeeping experience; or
* High School Diploma or Equivalent and three years of bookkeeping experience.
