SUMMARY - In collaboration with the urology and GYN physicians, the NP assumes clinical responsibility for the evaluation, treatment, education and counseling of female and male oncology patients who have intimacy/sexual dysfunction following cancer treatment. The NP recognizes the sensitivity surrounding sexuality and develops empathetic, positive and respectful relationships with patients. Tasks performed are within the Nurse Practitioner's scope of practice. Including: assessment, patient's history, performing physical examinations, ordering and performing appropriate diagnostic tests, establishing a diagnosis and providing treatment and management for common causes of sexual dysfunction in the adult cancer patient. The NP is a member of the multidisciplinary team and develops plans consistent with the patient and partner goals and preferences.



Master's Degree in nursing.

Graduate of accredited program for nurse practitioners

Three years clinical experience in healthcare

AZ RN license or RN License from a Compact State

Registered in AZ as nurse practitioner

Hold and maintain national certification in NP area, under AZ regulations

American Heart Association BCLS and ATLS


Experience in male and female sexual health

Experience in Oncology
