THE ROLE:


Server Platform Debug team is a global organization with key objective to solve system level issues coming from validation of AMD data center products. We are one of the key functions in ensuring AMD can deliver a world class quality product within the project schedule. As part of Server Platform Debug team, you will be playing a role in the winning team that works closely with architecture, design, and validation to deliver the hardware and software technologies of next generation computing platforms, accelerating AMD to have the highest-performing compute system in the world. We’re hiring a graduate trainee to help develop debug capability and perform data analytics works for the next generation of AMD’s flagship CPU products. The applicant will gain exposure in data analytics with AI and learn modern AMD X86 CPU architecture, debug tools and methodologies, debug processes, and will gain vast post-silicon research and development experience.

THE PERSON:

A highly motivated self-starter, who is passionate about CPU architecture, solving problems and reaching goals. The candidates should have strong electronics fundamental knowledge, excellent coding fundamental together with excellent communication/interpersonal skills. He/She is a great team player that can collaborate well with others on your team, as well as with other business units.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

Bringing up and enabling the latest Server Platforms
Debug system level (HW/SW/FW) issues reported from validation to unblock validation and accelerate product development
Develop tools, scripts, infrastructure, processes and flows to accelerate root cause of logical bugs in SOC/FW/SW.
Test and validate debug related features on latest server platform
Works on related projects and/or assignments as needed.

PREFERRED EXPERIENCE:

Self-starter with the ability to multitask across several projects
Strong fundamental in electric/electronics
Basic programming skills with Python/C/C++
Familiarity with x86 computer architecture
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
Excellent written and oral communication skills

ACADEMIC CREDENTIALS:

Bachelor's degree in electronics/electrical/computer engineering, computer science or equivalent with CGPA above 3.0
