Chandler Macleod currently has a very exciting opportunity for a full time Team Leader working in our client Custom Projects department in the Shepparton area.
Working as part of the Special Projects team, you will lead the team in providing a broad range of mechanical skills and aptitude to support the custom gate build process. The diverse Special Projects Team are responsible for assembly, production and testing of non-standard and R&D products, as well as assisting in modifications and repairs to standard products. The role requires you to work closely with design engineers, process engineers and supervisors to ensure the team operate in an effective and productive manner. You will have good time management and planning skills to manage and coach a small team to meet daily and weekly schedules. A flexible approach and "can do" attitude will ensure you can manage expectations to support the manufacturing requirements of the plant. A willingness to develop yourself and your ability to work autonomously will be paramount to the ongoing success of the Special Projects team.
Is successful in obtaining this position you will be responsible for

Leading a small team and able to self-manage small processes such as fabrication and assembly of special products.
Coaching and mentoring your team through problem solving, concept and design in consultation with key stakeholders.
Ability to prepare and assemble products from concept sketches, drawings.
Effectively managing and planning a process flow and accommodate change where required to meet workshop demand and priorities.
Ability to read, understand and guide others on Work Instructions and/or actively participate in SWMS to control OH+S risk exposure.
Utilise and build teams cross-functional diversity to best support the business needs.
Drive a culture of teamwork, continuous improvement, and accountability.
Ensure all work delivered meets defined functional and quality standards.
Assure that work practices meet the standards set out in Rubicon's OHS policies and procedures
You will have

A trade qualified Cert III Engineering - Mechanical (minimum)
A current drivers licence
Demonstrated experience leading a team in a manufacturing or similar environment
Demonstrate ability to plan, co-ordinate and undertake activities relevant to product prototype building, testing and installation
