To contribute to growing Wet Utilities Design team for overseeing (Swedish, UK and the Middle East) projects involving design of potable water and wastewater networks (gravity and pumped), design of storm sewers, highway drainage, watershed hydrology, bridge/culvert sizing, drainage studies, water surface profile modelling, bridge scour analysis and countermeasures, detention/retention sizing and best management practices or prevention of flood-related damage, perform hydraulic modelling and pipeline design.
Work on projects involving the provision of potable water, disposal of wastewater and sewage, or prevention of flood-related damage. • Assess client needs, data analysis and accordingly prepare delivery schedule and budget. • Prepare conceptual design studies, including sizing, layout requirements, and capital and operating cost projections. • Design distribution and collection systems, and confirm designs using modelling techniques. • Perform hydraulic analyses of water, wastewater and stormwater systems to model flow characteristics, test for pressure losses, or identify flooding issues, opportunities to mitigate risks and improve operational efficiency. • Drafting plans and models using Civil3D • Regular communication on the phone and in meetings with the overseas lead team and presenting designs and construction and operation reports • Identify design alternatives and suggest the best option to the lead team • Prepare engineering drawings, quantity estimates and specifications for water, wastewater and stormwater projects. • Preparing proposals, tender documentation and project reports • Analyze stormwater or floodplain drainage systems to control erosion. • Design pump capacity for water mains and lifting stations for wastewater, stormwater networks. • Perform quality checks before the project delivery
Key Competencies / Skills:
• At least 4 years of experience working with wet utility design, detail engineering that includes • Demand Assessment and hydraulic analysis of network using hydraulic modelling software • Preparation of plans, profiles, sections drawings using AutoCAD Civil3D • Able to perform Clash check and quantity calculations using AutoCAD Civil3D • Use of Civil and quantity calculation for water, wastewater and stormwater networks. Understanding of technical specifications pipelines and typical detail drawings
