Our client; a leader in the mining industry, are seeking an experienced payroll officer to join their payroll team for an 6 month assignment with potential for this to be extended. The role is based in Subiaco.
Hours: Mon - Fri, full time hours
Pay Rate: $40ph - $45ph + Super
Start date: ASAP
Duration: Approx 6 months with the possibility of extension
The Role Assisting with the end-to-end processing of both fortnightly and monthly payroll for site and corporate employees, as well as related activities. Assist in investigating and responding to complex payroll queries from key stakeholders (internal and external) in a timely manner. Ensure that payroll related data and information is filed, up to date and accurately maintained. Performing analysis of payroll related data and information in order to meet the individual requirements of stakeholders. Providing advice and support on payroll accounting and processes to Human Resources, Payroll, Finance and other departments. Ensure payroll related activities are performed and completed in compliance with local and legislative requirements. Identify and participate in process improvements and implementation.
About you: Mining company experience preferable Minimum 3 years in a payroll related position Current knowledge of Australian payroll and taxation application and legislation Experience with SAP ECC (strongly preferred) Strong excel, communication and organizational skills Be able to work well in a pressured environment with tight and demanding deadlines Strong analytical skills as well as attention to detail
