As Staff Engineer you will work on the robustness validation of our products against different attack scenarios and thereby become part of our fast-growing international validation team. Responsibilities


In your new role you will:
  • Work technically on the cybersecurity validation of Infineon's automotive microcontroller product families with focus on logical, semi-invasive and observative attacks
  • Provide customer support with respect to cybersecurity validation (e.g. evaluation and protection against different attack scenarios)
  • Plan, define, design and develop the required test sites as well as implement the automated test suites in hardware and software in cooperation with
    senior technical experts
  • Actively contribute to the threat-modelling and TARA analysis of our product families
  • Own and create related documentation and work packages to comply with relevant standards for cybersecurity (ISO 21434)
  • Investigate new ideas, consider alternatives and drive active risk management with regard to cybersecurity validation

Your Profile


As Staff Engineer Cybersecurity Validation you promote an awareness for quality and cybersecurity in this context by continuously striving for the goal of “zero-defect” with regard to our microcontroller product families. Therefore, you take in information quickly, evaluate it from different points of view, and uncover hidden weaknesses as well as room for improvement. In this process, it is important for you to investigate new ideas, consider alternatives, clarify areas of responsibility, and regularly share your insights with our colleagues in order to achieve the best result possible.

You are best equipped for this task if you have:
  • A degree in Electrical Engineering, Informatics, Physics or a related field
  • At least 3-5 years of professional experience in cybersecurity validation or application/test lab, ideally within the automotive or IT sector
  • Solid understanding of cybersecurity validation techniques (e.g. fuzz testing, penetration testing) as well as good programming skills (Python, Perl)
  • Ability to observe and proactively anticipate new trends with regard to attack scenarios in combination with a very creative mindset and the ability to think out-of-the-box in order to identify unknown weaknesses in our products
  • Knowledge about cybersecurity standards (e.g. ISO 21434, J3101) as well as application know-how on debugging and communication protocols would be a plus
  • Excellent English communication skills, German language skills are a plus
