About the Role
We are seeing an accelerating technological change in insurance and reinsurance and are looking for an energetic, focused and sales driven colleague to promote existing and develop new P&C Solutions. Working together with our client management, underwriting colleagues and an extended team, you join the Middle East & Africa P&C Solutions team to seek opportunities for Solutions sales in the region.
You will lead sales and origination activities primarily in South Africa and the surrounding region. Additionally, you will explore & design tools or services our insurance and non-insurance clients may need in region MEA (including contribution to marketing, project documentation and other tasks);
Assist existing and new clients in tailoring P&C Solutions propositions, including post-sales support;
Support the Head P&C Solutions MEA, and other colleagues to delivery business pipeline and business plan;
Secure resources within the organisation and project manage the delivery;
Drive knowledge sharing and learning from past and existing projects;
Keep abreast of market developments and opportunities relevant to P&C Solutions; and
Attend external and internal events to represent the P&C Solutions team.
Contribute to product development endeavours relevant to the region, working and coordinating closely with all internal functions;
Research and present market trends and changing client needs.
About the Team
You will report to Head P&C Solutions Middle East and Africa, and work closely with the EMEA P&C Solutions team and a number of other stakeholders. You will also liaise with colleagues globally.
Ideally 3-5 years (or for the senior role, (5 years) in Insurance Technology Sales, Cross Sector Business Development, Software Consultancy/Sales.
A proven technology sales track record and a successful negotiator, comfortable interacting effectively across all levels including C-suite.
Experience in identifying and developing commercial partnerships with internal and external collaborators.
Experience working with large non-insurance distribution channels (Telco's, Retail, Banks).
Tenacity and passion for handling large complex deals and projects and delivering in virtual teams with a can-do attitude.
Proven ability to foster network of clients and partners across cultures.
Excellent communication and presentation skills in English (French is a plus).
