R30 000– 40 000 CTC per month
Duration: Permanent
Mature Food and beverage Manager with previous canteen/ cafeteria management experience required to join a recently established venture.
You will play an integral part in the setup of processes and procedures as well as the hiring of a suitable team.
As this role will require both front and back of house involvement, previous experience as a chef would be advantageous.
Minimum Requirements:
Completed culinary and food safety qualification
3 or more years’ experience as a Food and Beverage Manager
2 or more years’ experience specific to a canteen/ cafeteria
Strong general knowledge of food and kitchen management procedures
Front of house experience
Strong computer literacy
Duties and Responsibilities:
Develop unique menus/ recipes
Costing and pricing
Maintain the kitchen and surrounding areas in conditions that meet the company standards as well as health and safety regulations
Monitor inventory and purchase supplies from approved vendors
Assist and direct catering/ kitchen staff in meal preparation, creation, plating and delivery
Identify and introduce new culinary techniques
Prepare meals and complete prep support as needed
Manage and coordinate a busy kitchen operation
