Brand Manager - Cape Town

A vacancy for a Brand manager has become available at our Client's Cape Town branch. The Brand Manager will be responsible for looking after an array of our client’s brands.
Main duties will include but will not be limited to:
Lead generation and prospecting for the brands.
Responsible for the growth of new and current business for these brands.
Lead generation through referrals.
Schedule and execute training at customer sites and provide regular follow up and refresher training to customers as required.
Ensure all customers are adequately always stocked.
Provide management with weekly progress reports.
Plan and execute visits to all existing accounts within and outside of South Africa on a regular basis.
Identify, communicate, and help resolve any service issues or customer complaints
Develop close working relationship with customers
Work closely with marketing to effectively market and leverage the brands
Support Key Account Managers with identification and execution of opportunity areas
Regularly communicate with procurement on strategic initiatives
Customer visits will entail 70% of time at end users and 30% of time at dealers
Other duties as assigned

Exceptional customer service orientation with strong follow-up and feedback skills
Strong sales ability with proven sales track record
Proven ability to build relationships at all levels of an organisation, coupled with strong people skills.
Ability to train and communicate at all levels, including but not limited to company presentation, demonstrations and product knowledge, Strong financial acumen, including but not limited to calculating margins and interpretation of financial reports
Report writing skills and analysis of current sales to identify opportunity areas and feedback to all involved parties
Clear, concise written and verbal communication skills
Grooming and appearance to reflect the Company’s brand equity
Ability to inspire and motivate colleagues
Excellent listening skills

Qualifications and experience required:
Grade 12 (or equivalent) - Essential
Relevant B Degree / tertiary qualification or an acceptable combination of education and experience - Essential
Five - seven years direct work experience in a similar capacity in the same or similar industries.
Three - five years strategic leadership - ability to drive both short and long-term brand growth and profitability.
Experience in building and nurturing brands (highly desirable)
Driver’s license and own reliable vehicle
Excellent understanding of market and customer
Able to travel regularly
Business acumen and good understanding of business processes and functions
