Junior Scrum Master


Outsourced organisation specializing within the employee benefits sector seeks to employ a Junior Scrum Master.The Scrum Master will be helping software development teams apply the Scrum framework via Jira from Atlassian. Planning deliverables and helping teams monitor performance. Resolving issues that hinder the teams work.General AdministrationManage each projects scope and timelineCoordinate sprints, retrospective meetings and daily stand-upsCoach team members in Agile frameworksFacilitate internal communication and effective collaborationBe the point of contact for external communications (e.g. from customers or stakeholders)Work with product owners to handle backlogs and new requestsResolve conflicts and remove obstacles that occurHelp teams implement changes effectivelyEnsure deliverables are up to quality standards at the end of each sprintGuide development teams to higher scrum maturityHelp build a productive environment where team members own the product and enjoy working on itAdhere to company group policiesRespond to and update support tickets and project-related ticketsSubmit timesheets dailyFinancial managementPrepare and provide input to estimates for work orders/quotationsProcessAdhere to SDLC processes and proceduresUnderstands the requirements of Change ControlAdhere to ISO and ISO/IEC principles, and other ISOs as they are adoptedSupervisionMay be responsible for staff supervision and mentoringTeamworkActively participates in/hosts and minutes JAD sessions and workshopsActively participates in/hosts demo sessionsAny other reasonable task assigned with regards to system development, maintenance and support trainingMay operate under supervisionUnderstands working as part of a project teamEducational QualificationsDegree/ Diploma in Computer Science, Business or similar fieldDeemed Industry ExperienceExperience0 to 2 years experience in a scrum master role, focusing on delivering technology-driven solutionsEnd-to-end project involvement in delivery and accountability thereof would be advantageousExcellent knowledge of Scrum techniques and artifacts (such as definition of done, user stories, automated testing, backlog refinement)Worked in a multi-project environmentActive involvement in all phases of the Systems Development Life CycleKnowledge and experience within the employee benefits or financial services environment are advantageousKnowledgeSound knowledge of the System Development Lifecycle and methodologiesStrong understanding of Word, Excel, and PowerPointUnderstanding and experience with the Omni Sunguard system are advantageous
