Licensed Practical Nurse I Telemetry Fulltime Nights
Department
Cardiac Prog/Cardiac Acute
Job Summary
The LPN I implements nursing care for assigned patients. The LPN I assists the RN in the assessment, planning, intervention, and evaluation of nursing care. Tele monitor position not bedside.
We care for cath lab post-procedure patients many of whom have A-lines and temporary pacemakers as well as med-surg telemetry patients. The Cardiac Transport Nurses are based on our floor, Code Blue Nurses, and the Remote Telemetry room are also part of our floor.
The Remote Telemetry Room monitors patients who are on medical, non-monitored units but whom the doctor feels would benefit from cardiac monitoring, perhaps from a remote history of an MI or some other cardiac related problem. We have cardiac monitor techs and RNs who share the care of the patient, offering a cardiac perspective, with the nurses on the floors where the patients are residing.
Unit Surgeries: Post procedure patients, mainly from cath lab with some coming from IR
