Health, Safety and Environmental Manager

We are currently looking for a talented Health, Safety, and Environment Manager to join our team. This is an exciting position where you will be instrumental in supporting the site to drive Health, Safety and Environmental performance, via several different processes.

This role will support the site in driving Health, Safety and Environmental performance - focusing on delivering & tracking strategic initiatives & improvement programmes, rather than the day to day work. There will be aligned and prioritised goals from group to site level with a clear focus on delivering customer CSR requirements, including cost savings and new initiatives. Managing progression towards the companies Values on environmental, ethical and lean management whilst focusing on the long term vision of making the sites self-sufficient in the management of HSE issues and leading the change towards an intervention culture.

You will have experience of managing and influencing positive changes within the organisation, supporting the development of a Health & Safety culture across the site. You will work with all key stakeholders to develop and maintain a positive HSE culture.

A NEBOSH Diploma (or equivalent) holder in Occupational Health & Safety is a minimum requirement. Systems knowledge specifically in Excel is essential. Previous experience in an FMCG environment is of benefit but not essential as full site training will be given.

Your ability to build strong working relationships at all levels will be second to none, along with first class communication and interpersonal skills. Your meticulous organisational skills will prove invaluable along with your ability to prioritise and work to tight deadlines.


  • Management systems experience - e.g. ISO14001, OHS18001, HSG65.
  • Current and future UK and EU environmental and health & safety legislation.
  • Management systems auditing.
  • Significant experience in health, safety and environmental management.
  • IEMA Associate member.
  • NEBOSH Diploma or equivalent.
