Product Specialist

GBR Recruitment Ltd are working in partnership with a leading high capital specialist vehicle & specialist machinery manufacturer (on highway & off highway vehicles) recruiting for a new Product Specialist to join their expanding Peterborough team.

This is a key roleproviding specialist vehicle / machinerytechnical & product support & training to the internal sales team and to end using customers to ensure the companiesUK product sales solutions are relevant & effectiveforthe end using customers specific working needs.

The product range is of high capital worth with each vehicle unit selling for £50K+ with many several £100K's as they are specialist complex bits of machinery.

This role would be ideal for someone from a high capital machinery background such as Agricultural Tractors / Combines, HGV's, Municipal Cleaning Machinery, Road-sweepers, Gritters, Airport Support Machinery, Rail Machinery, Plant Machinery (Diggers, Dumpers, Earth Movers, Excavation Equipment etc.) or similar products.

Duties:

  • Proactively supporting the sales team to achieve sales targets &to maximise margins.
  • Identifying new markets &product solutions.
  • Maximisingthe companies technical offering to meet the identified end using customers specifications.
  • Ensuringall customer orders, bids, proposals & all sales opportunities meet product technical specifications.
  • Assisting the successful effective management of key customer accounts & major projects
  • Liaising & acting as the key linchpinbetween the sales department &workshop for all specification /technical issues.
  • Managing the specialist vehicle / machinery demonstration team to ensure theycarry out demonstrations of appropriate equipment to customers in the best possible sales environment.

Applicants Attributes:

  • Strong technical knowledge&understanding of a high value capital specialist vehicles / machinery is required (as listed above).
  • Product Training or Product Technical Advisor experience.
  • Strong experience with product ranges that include the use of hydraulics, pneumatics, diesel engines & more.
  • Strong Customer Service, Technical Sales & Professional Communication skills

The role is full time based in thePeterborough office, on a 39 hour workingweek, working Monday-Friday.

The client is hiring immediately with interviews taking place WC: 25/07/22 onwards.
