ETL Developer with SQL


Essential Responsibilities
Responsible for the Design, Development, testing and implementation, and Operations & Maintenance (O&M) phases of all ETL related projects.
Work closely with HR Analytics subject matter expert (SME), Workday leads, ESS leads and QlikSense Developers to ensure that the end to end designs meet the business and data requirements.
Maintaining production, staging and development environments in Global HR data warehouse 'Data Lake' (GHRDL) and providing data to Qlik Environment.
Analyzing Problem Reports to identify root cause and recommending and/or implementing code changes to correct any defects.
Analyzing enhancement requests and recommending and/or implementing required code changes.
Create and/or execute standard work supporting systems O&M.
Facilitating knowledge transfer of Production Support activities with Otis HR Analytics SMEs
Participate in design reviews to ensure that all established design standards are followed.
Ensure that development standards are followed and functional, and that performance and security requirements are met.
Document functional and technical requirements as needed.
Create and update prototypes as needed.
Role Overview
As the ETL Developer, you will be responsible for the Extract, Transform, and Load (ETL) processes, and ensuring the successful design, configuration, prototyping, testing, and maintenance of the HR data warehouse (referred to internally as the 'data lake'), with the goal of enhancing the overall employee experience. This role will be responsible for participating in defining the data warehousing strategy and roadmap, as well as ensuring that the ETL process meets customer requirements and specifications while following best practices and industry standards. You will partner with Digital Technology, HR Technology, COEs, and other key stakeholders to identify resource requirements, meet training needs, define project deliverables and execute deliverables as needed. You will ensure effective communications and relationships between your team, customers, and other involved parties are always maintained.

Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field
3+ years of relevant ETL experience and extensive knowledge of coding languages including Java, XML, and SQL
Proficiency in warehousing architecture techniques
Proven work experience as an ETL Developer
Strong project management skills
Ability to analyze a company's big-picture data needs
Clear communication skills
Ability to troubleshoot and solve complex technical problem

Ability to handle multiple sub project teams, tasks concurrently and meet deadlines, despite conflicting demands
High comfort level working in a fast-paced, results-oriented culture
Strong interpersonal, stakeholder management, and relationship building skills ability to establish credibility/rapport with stakeholders globally and in a virtual environment
