The Software Developer will be responsible for development, design and delivery of automated solutions for both new and existing processes. This role will require the developer work with a global team to deliver and support development initiatives across several business functions using an agile delivery method.
To be successful you should apply programming best practices to develop applications and API's to support Epiq's automation initiatives. You must be a self-driven and strong communicator who can thrive in a face-paced, cutting edge environment. The role requires significant collaboration with IT and business resources, also requiring the ability to present technical details to a non-technical audience.
The Software Developer will be expected to analyze data related to workflow, processes, and reporting to evaluate the efficiency of current-state business processes. He/she may be required to adapt solution(s) for a future state workflow/architecture design.
Developing, designing and delivering performant software to support Epiq's automation initiatives
Create and maintain both high level and technical documentation around all development
Translate business requirements into intuitive software solutions
Provide continuous updates to stakeholders throughout Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC)
Crafting Automation process solutions according to the standard Automation best practices and conventions and in accordance with Epiq's operational needs
Coding and scripting in Automation platforms & should be able to troubleshoot and remedy issues with the Automation
Supporting existing processes and implementing change requirements in alignment with compliance
Successfully manage issues that arise day to day because of running the Automation processes and providing timely responses and solutions as required
Participate in sprint planning to ensure thorough and detailed planning for every sprint
Other Responsibilities include (not limited to)
Support business leaders in developing a detailed 'As Is' Process Description Document (PDD), a detailed 'To Be' Automated Process Description Solution Design Document (SDD)
Leading the end-to-end solutions through the Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC)
Develop high level project plans for implementation of projects
Supporting the Operational Teams during the UAT and rollout phases
Demonstrate a mature and sophisticated approach to problem solving
Qualifications & Experience Required
Bachelors' degree in computers/ technical field or equivalent combination of education and experience
3 to 4 years' experience delivering automation solutions
Hands-on experience in end-to-end development of business processes on Windows and web-based browsers etc.
Knowledge of the programming tools/languages (e.g., Visual Studio/C# (.NET/ASP.NET), Java, Python, Ruby, Powershell, JSON), relational databases (SQL Server/Oracle)
Thorough understanding of object oriented development theory
Experience in .NET Core, Entity Framework Core, etc
Knowledge of cloud infrastructure Azure/AWS
Experience with Process Analysis, Design, and Implementation, Business and Technical requirements, Problem-Solving, and System(s) Testing, including UAT and Bug fixes
Basic understanding of Lean Six Sigma process methodologies
Experience with RPA Software tools will be advantageous (e.g. Automation Anywhere, Blue Prism, UI Path, WorkFusion, Power Automate)
Nice to have experience in Cognitive technology deployment / AI development
Excellent communication skills, both written and oral
