H9 Technical are looking to recruit for a Site Quality Manager on a Permanent basis to join the principle contractor on a group of large scale Energy From Waste Projects within the UK. The role would require travel to multiple sites in different locations.
Responsibilities
- Ensures site quality management system complies with the requirements of ISO 9001, the client
- Enforces Site Quality Assurance / Quality Control (QA/QC) measures / procedures including inspection of incoming goods
- Ensures that inspections with authorities are organised and carried out on time and that Site staff are adequately briefed
- Ensures that final assembly check (MEC) is performed promptly after the end of assembly
- Is responsible for installation companies in standards and contract variations
- Ensures that required certificates are available and valid
- Ensures that approved testing equipment is calibrated and used properly
- Participates in the review and approval of assembly test plans and other quality-related documents (e.g. manufacturer approvals, process skills, personnel qualifications, inspection instructions) before installation
- Coordinates QA / QC activities between customer / partners / consultation with the site management
- Manages Site Quality team
- Keeps the Site Manager informed of all site related activities
- Is aware of the HSE requirements relevant to their role, and implements and complies with them
- Checks the mounting evidence related documentation (quality documentation) of assembly companies
- Checks individual components in the light of progress mounting
Qualifications / Experiences
- Relevant professional experience as a construction, assembly in plant / power plant construction
- Minimum of 8 years of experience in the area of quality supervision in construction
- Knowledge of relevant HSEQ legal and management system requirements
- Valid Safety Contractors Certificate (SCC), Safepass (ROI), CSCS or CCNSG card or equivalent
- Experience in plant or in one of the sub-boiler, steel, equipment, piping
- Welding Technical training (e.g. Welding Specialist, Welding Engineer)
