Chase Consumer & Community Banking (CCB) serves consumers and small businesses with a broad range of financial services, including personal banking, small business banking and lending, mortgages, credit cards, payments, auto finance and investment advice. Consumer & Community Banking Risk Management partners with each CCB sub-line of business to identify, assess, prioritize and remediate risk. Types of risk that occur in consumer businesses include fraud, reputation, operational, credit, market and regulatory, among others
The role of the Risk Data Analyst is to support innovation & design as well as assist in technical implementation of analytical data and associated processes for CCB risk data team. The CCB Risk Data Analyst is required to work closely with senior team members and wide range to stakeholders such as business, data providers, and support functions to understand requirements, complete feasibility study, and create proposals for conceptual & physical data stores.
The role will demand innovative solutions for data management ensuring data model is future ready, optimal and creates ease of use for end consumer. The CCB Risk Data Analyst will also be expected to ensure delivery of comprehensive & feasible data model keeping needs of key stakeholder together.
Risk professional with sound data warehousing expertise to be able to act as an individual contributor supporting risk teams by coordinating with various stakeholder and ensuring delivery of future ready data model
Capture data needs of various stakeholder and implement ways of making data easily accessible from data store to end consumers
Help Risk innovate through data-driven decisioning by querying data and merging information from diverse data sources to create rich datasets that enable better decision-making
Good understanding of Data governance practices including data profiling, implementing & analyzing data quality, and access controls for data management
Work with other Analytics teams and multi-task on projects to summarize and synthe data and present recommendations to Risk in a clear and logical manner
Provide analytical support using SQL in order to help Risk to measure KPIs or perform ad-hoc data exploration
Work closely with data lead and establish technical requirements. Create design proposals and gain buy-in
Work with various support services team and make the most of IT capability available within the firm.
Drive innovation and create model ways of data delivery
Skills & Competencies required: -
Experience in Data analytics, Data management, Data warehousing and Logical data model
Overall experience of 3+ years in in Banking/ Financial Services. - Strong Driving & Navigational skills.
Experience with relational databases utilizing SQL to pull and summarize large datasets, report creation and ad-hoc analysis
Demonstrate ability to think beyond raw data and to understand the underlying business context and sense business opportunities hidden in the data
Excellent verbal and written communication skills
Strong documentation skill & ability to manage work update on project application
Advanced MS Office suite skills (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Visio, Project)
A very strong track record of ownership and accountability will be key to the success of this role
Experience of working in an Agile framework
Highly effective in narrating the analytical output to stake holders, draw agreement on business actions or formulate impact strategies
