Head of Business - High Schools

The Role

We are looking for a business leader to expand JoVE business in the high school market, in the USA and internationally. The initial focus will be on our newly developed Advanced Placement (AP) Test Prep product. The person in this position will build and manage sales, marketing, customer support and product management teams and operations for the AP product line . The ideal candidate will have experience with both B2C and B2B sales and marketing strategies.


  • Develop a strategic plan for the business in the high school market, create and implement corresponding sales and marketing strategies for JoVE AP - test preparation product line.
  • Hire, train and manage the sales, marketing and customer support teams
  • Develop and manage B2C and B2B marketing campaigns, including paid advertising.
  • Collect customer feedback, and provide recommendations for product development.
  • Provide recommendations on the product and business development to the company management, technology and productions teams.


  • A Bachelor’s degree or equivalent
  • 10+ years of management experience in sales and marketing
  • Experience in a startup environment is preferred
  • Experience with sales and marketing platforms such as Salesforce and Hubspot
  • Ability to build and grow effective teams
  • Experience with using data and analytics to make decisions
  • Experience with EdTech is a plus.
