Analog Design Lead - DC-DC


TI offers one of the world's largest comprehensive portfolio of high-performance AC/DC and isolated DC/DC controllers, converters and modules with the widest range of power topology options.

High Voltage Controllers (HVC) is an exciting group within TI looking to productize smart power controller products into cutting-edge high-voltage industrial and automotive applications and demonstrate the significant performance benefits of TI’s technologies. Now specifically, we are expanding our Low-Power (25W-75W) & Medium-Power (75W-1kW) AC/DC controller product portfolio to aggressively grow our share in a fast-growing market.

Accordingly, we are establishing a highly talented and aggressive team willing to take up tough challenges, drive innovation and build industry-best products for HVC. Close collaboration with different functions (Systems, Marketing, Test, Semiconductor and Packaging Technology) would be critical to the success of the team. Ideal applicants should be creative problem solvers, innovative circuit designers and excellent communicators looking to expand their knowledge into the challenging field of controllers for high voltage power supplies.

The following positions is available in this group

Location : Bangalore

Basic Qualifications : Bachelor's/Master's Degree in EE

Experience : 5 to 12 years in switching regulator design

Expected Skill Set:

  • Good Fundamental knowledge on AC to DC and/or DC to DC controllers, converters.
  • Good knowledge of designing analog and switching circuits.
  • Experience in silicon debug, reviewing analog block as well as full chip layouts.
  • Good understanding of the cadence tools.
  • Good mentoring, communication, presentation skills and team work.

· Experience in handling the complexities of full chip level would be an added advantage.

Job Expectations:

· Design and verification of analog blocks, full chips for switching regulators

  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams like system, test etc
  • Developing circuit architecture, deriving the block level specifications for the full chip starting from datasheet/system specifications
  • Ownership of full chip design & layout activities including technical mentoring and schedule planning
  • Supporting top-level schematic, layout and top-level verification
  • Silicon Debug, providing needed support for electrical characterization and for product qualification.
