Engineering Planner

Engineering Planner - Wrexham - Permanent - salary negotiable dependant on experience

You will co-ordinate, plan and control the planned preventative maintenance schedule within the plant. You will be responsible for performance optimisation, including plant availability and mean time between failures. Ensure regulatory compliance through developing, maintaining and optimising the critical asset management activities. Ensure emerging work and planned work is correctly maintained within the Plant CMMS. Control resources needed for PM schedule.

  • Build and maintain the planned schedule of critical, preventative and inspection jobs. Also ensuring that planned and emerging work together with downtime is accurately recorded. Review schedules based on mean time between failure and downtime.
  • Maintain an active register of contractors to support effective selection, performance management and control of the contractor list.
  • Maintain planned preventative maintenance and inspections work schedule. Controlling and prioritising work based on criticality, compliance, backlog and plant performance.
  • Reporting to plant management on the status of work mandated by regulation and that deemed to be critical to HSE and business risk management.
  • Responsible for ensuring external contractor control and their safety. Ensuring that internal employees follow policy in this regard.
  • Support the Plant Engineer to effectively plan shutdown engineering works. This ensures that work is adequately and efficiently scoped and resourced in advance of the shutdown, and progress to completion monitored. Lead the shutdown planning and review.
  • Identifying opportunities for improvement regarding preventative maintenance and inspections using TPM. Identifying and coordinating improvement projects within the plant and following up on projects following any approval(s).
  • Contribute to the development of employees engaged in asset care within the plant.
