Location: Moulsecoomb, Brighton, BN2 4GJ
Salary: £25,554 per annum pro rata - £13,812 per annum actual
Contract: Part Time, Permanent
Hours: 20 per week- days/hours to be agreed with successful candidate

Brighton Students' Union (BSU) is an independent, vibrant charity which is run by students for students.? Our mission is Making?Student Life Better'?for all students studying at the University of Brighton, which we do through the provision of excellent services, facilities, support, representation and events.?

We are currently looking for an experienced individual to provide support to the HR department which is based on the Moulsecoomb campus.

HR Coordinator- The Role:

This role is being offered on a permanent part-time basis working 20.00 hours per week and will primarily be dealing with all aspects of HR administration, acting as first point of contact for all HR Database queries, and ensuring that all activities are dealt with in line with employment legislation.

Experience and Knowledge:

Applicants will need to be able to demonstrate their knowledge and experience of:

  • Working within a busy HR environment
  • Working with, maintaining and developing HR Databases
  • Dealing with all aspects of meeting facilitation - including minute taking
  • Liaising with internal and external partners
  • Dealing with highly sensitive and confidential information
  • Excellent working knowledge of Microsoft Office applications, Adobe, HR Databases, and other HR related software packages.

HR Coordinator - The Candidate:

The successful candidate will need to be adaptable, have exceptional organisation skills with the ability to juggle a wide range of tasks.

They should also have excellent interpersonal skills and the willingness to help others. In addition to this, they must share and display the Union's core values which are: Inclusive, Approachable, Dynamic, Supportive and Transparent.
