The Amazon Connectivity Solutions Group (CSG) is part of the Amazon Devices team, which designs and engineers high-profile consumer electronics, including the best-selling Kindle family of products. We have also produced groundbreaking devices like Fire tablets, Fire TV, Amazon Dash, and Amazon Echo etc.
Connectivity Solutions Group (CSG) based in Mumbai is looking for experienced NOC Engineer for maintaining large and complex data networks for Amazon. You will use your experience in the domain to provide feedback towards improving internal processes and systems for large scale network management. You will support the day-to-day operations of the network infrastructure and drive the stability and sustainability of our next-gen network as it grows. You will plan, operate Amazon data network by providing suitable guidance to network engineers. We are looking for an experienced, self-motivated, detail-oriented NOC Engineer who has demonstrated ability to deliver results in for a growing next-gen data network.
Roles & Responsibilities
. Provide network operations support to internal and external customers and complete customer requests via trouble ticketing systems.
. Work closely with Engineering teams for configuration change, version updates and ensure fast, smooth roll-out of new features.
. Monitor and manage communications with internal and external teams during critical incidents and work with level two and level-three resolver groups.
. Work on trouble ticketing systems, analyze logs, categorize prioritizes, route incidents to the concerned team to ensure resolution & closure of Fault tickets within SLA.
. Effective escalation of issues to mid and senior-level management for full resolution.
. Create and review documentation including, Incident reports, standard operating procedures, knowledge transfer material, etc.
. Proactively monitor network health to identify, address, and prevent potential issues
. Demonstrate continuous initiatives to improve process efficiency and support quality
. Ready to work within various time constraints in 24x7 shifts and with multiple teams to ensure service requirements are met.
. Work in a dynamic environment to understand and prioritize service requirements.
. Demonstrate ownership to resolve challenging customer issues and ability to interact efficiently with peers and customers is required.
. Identify and troubleshoot recurring issues and focus on removing manual actions.
Basic Qualifications :
. BE / BTECH with 10+ years of experience in problem management of wireless domain in Network Operation Centre.
. Advance knowledge in 802.11 standard and related protocols
. Excellent written and oral communication skills and ability to communicate to collaborate with both internal and external teams.
Preferred Qualifications :
. Working knowledge and expertise with multiple Network monitoring tools
. Understanding of TCP/IP and QOS in the LAN, WAN, and WLAN
. Certification on 802.11 standards such as CWNA, CWNP or equivalent.
. People management skills, should have managed NOC team on operations.
. Advanced experience with MS Office.
