The Wireline Technical Sales Representative pro-actively and strategically sells specific tools, technologies and services across the Weatherford portfolio to a defined customer base. The role also works to establish customer relationships that enable the identification of customer needs and the positioning of Weatherford solutions.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Identifies and qualifies Product Line sale opportunities based on understanding of an organization's business and strategic direction and profitability to Weatherford Canada.
Works in conjunction with Area/Operations Management on bid evaluation and develops proposals and for qualified sales opportunities including completing financial analysis, cost/benefit assessment and pricing methodologies to make recommendations to the customer and ensure competitive bid submission for the Product Line.
Manages Sales Process including territory plans, target accounts, opportunity management process, and account planning.
Manages contract negotiation and renewal process working in conjunction with internal support organizations.
Meets or exceeds required sales targets as specified in goal sheet
Keeps current on relevant strategic technologies and trends; continually develops industry knowledge by participating in key industry events/conferences, reading trade journals, participating in vendors' training programs and taking advantage of external education as appropriate
Establishes, maintains and manages effective business relationships at both the functional and executive levels; must be able to articulate the value Weatherford Canada can bring to the client/customer.
Works collaboratively with Weatherford Canada internal support organizations to establish a cohesive working relationship and ensure a high level of customer satisfaction.
Responsible for the generation of annual revenue targets through the creation and conversion of account plans
Accountable for delivering positive commercial results through strong negotiating skills which result in significant continuous improvements in margin performance
Evaluates sales opportunities via the Technical Sales Manager
Supports line management in the efficient, effective and compliant use of resources in the support of Geozone sales.
Promotes the highest possible values, principles and the Weatherford culture to their team
Supports cohesion and common purpose in a changing environment to all sales related personnel
Supports and coordinates the education of internal sales community
Minimum 3-5 years Wireline experience (Field and/or Sales)
Extensive knowledge of Oil & Gas industry, marketplace trends and key indicators
Strong analytical and spreadsheet skills
Strong communication, customer relations, and decision making skills
Advanced knowledge of MS Office products
Ability to understand and evaluate commercial opportunities
Previous Wireline technical sales experience with a focus on solution-based selling strategies
Cased Hole specific experience (Field and/or Sales)
Established customer contacts within the industry
Degree relevant to oilfield or technical discipline
Commercially astute, have a good understanding of commercial tenders, contracts, high margin / profitability impact and requirements for high quality customer service
Highly developed selling and negotiating skills normally acquired through substantial industry experience
Proven ability to deliver on aggressive individual sales quota, increase market share by acquiring net new customers and grow revenues in existing accounts
Experience writing and understanding complex proposals
