Registered Nurse-Operating Room

This position is eligible for a $7.500.00 a sign on bonus

The First Hill Surgery Center is seeking an Operating Room Registered Nurse.

Provide and direct the nursing care of the patient and supervise paraprofessional personnel in the operating room.

Hours: Mon-Fri                                               

Graduation from an accredited school of nursing

Certification/Licensure:

Current licensure in the State of Washington as a Registered Nurse required BCLS/CPR certification required ACLS certification required PALS certification  required Membership and involvement in professional nursing organizations (for example, AORN) preferred CNOR preferred

Experience:

Two years prior OR experience required Previous ambulatory surgery center experience in multi-specialty preferred

Skills:

1.        Good organizational and communication skills

2.        Ability to prioritize responsibilities and tasks

3.        Ability to problem solve patient medical and non-medical problems

4.      Ability to perform job quickly and accurately every time

5.      Provide excellent customer service and patient care

OTHER REQUIREMENTS:

Ability to work within a fast-paced environment Good oral and written command of the English language May require lifting and transferring patients May require occasional extra hours or work Will require rotating to other areas within the surgery

RESPONSIBILITIES:

Coordinate patient care intraoperatively Process operative paperwork Perform circulating duties Coordinate transition from operating room to recovery room Communicate accurate patient history and physical condition Work as a team member within the surgery center department and with all other departments Perform other related duties as assigned
