Debug and Rework Engineer
To support our extraordinary teams who build great products and contribute to our growth, we’re looking to add a/an Debug and Rework Engineer located in Bukit Minyak, Penang.
What a typical day looks like:
Analyzes and interprets test data and product performance and prepares technical advice for repair.
Resolves yield problems by performing analysis of root causes, developing and coordinating corrective action measures, and monitoring improvements.
Trains and instructs floor support, repair technicians, and test operators on test hardware and/or software, as well as on follow-up of proper problem solutions.
Understands conditions under which tests are to be conducted and sequences and phases of test operations.
Prepares technical summary reports for use by electronic or software engineering, and management personnel.
Interfaces and confers with engineering and technical personnel to resolve testing problems such as product or system malfunctions, incomplete test data, data interpretation, or coding issues.
Uses computer software and hardware to conduct tests on electronic products and systems or software for analysis purposes.
Allocates defect causes to the various sources e.g. process, material, and prepares reports for following other involved like quality, purchasing, SQA.
Interferes with floor support, test technicians, and test operators on test hardware and/or software, as well as proper problem-solving techniques.
Resolves test yield problems by performing analysis of root causes, developing and coordinating corrective action measures, and monitoring improvements.
Analyze and configure digital circuits using Field programable Gate Array (FPGA) and Ball Grid Array (BGA).
Resolves failures from Point of origin/point of detection.
Analyzes and interprets test data and product performance with proper evidence of design-related Failure analysis Report.
The experience we’re looking to add to our team:
Typically requires a Bachelor’s Degree in engineering or equivalent experience and training.
Typically requires 5 years of related experience.
