Role Description
Role Description: GCP - L1 support
Location: Chennai/Hyderabad
Experience: 2-4 years
We are looking for a highly capable GCP-L1 support personnel with to ensure that our corporation capitalizes on the benefits offered by the GCP platform and services. To ensure success as a GCP L1 technical support personnel, you should possess good knowledge of GCP platform and services within GCP like, Data Services, IAM and Network in addition to Unix knowledge. The incumbent will also have the ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
Works in shift, with shift rotation every two weeks: 6 AM - 3 PM, 2:30 PM - 11:30 PM, 10:30 PM - 6 AM. Days - any 5 days a week (including weekends) with comp-off on two days. Shift allowances are provided for the night and early morning shifts.
Role and responsibilities
. L1 production support for multiple services on GCP infrastructure.
. Diagnosing and providing L1 support for GCP infrastructure related tickets from users.
. Routing tickets appropriately based on issue categories and severity to L2 support
. Experience as IT infra administrator preferably previous experience in L1/L2 support roles.
. 2+ years of experience in L1 support role with theoretical knowledge of GCP and 6 months of hands on experience with GCP services preferable.
Mandatory Technical / Functional Skills:
. Production support experience with GCP (or AWS/Azure) in a cloud environment. GCP is preferred.
. System Administration (includes site creation, server maintenance/Upgrades/patches).
. Change management including software, hardware upgrades, patches
. Monitor server activity/usage statistics to identify possible performance issues/enhancements
. Assist in development of workbooks and dashboards to support business initiatives.
. Develop and document standards/best practices for development and administration of the Qlik platform.
. Work closely with technical architects, data and software engineers to ensure optimal application and data database/warehouse design to support reporting requirements.
. Very good documentation and communication skills
. B.Tech., M.Tech. or MCA degree from a reputed university
. 2+ years of experience, especially in Production support/Admin roles in a cloud platform, preferable in GCP.
