The Role at a Glance
They will perform and deliver ongoing and ad-hoc research and analysis requests to support the research plan for assigned business area(s). They will also analyze a broad spectrum of data to provide a synthesized output.
What you'll be doing:
Collaborates with internal stakeholders (e.g. Marketing, Sales, Product Development, Sponsor and/or Consumer/Advisor Insights team members) and other internal/external partners to identify and communicate trends.
Participates on cross-functional project teams; synthesizes data, interprets findings, and presents well thought-out solutions/recommendations to drive business results.
Identifies business issues and objectives based on a current understanding of consumers, customers, competitors, and the marketplace; shares findings with internal stakeholders.
Builds knowledge on internal/external data, especially pertaining to elements and characteristics relevant to assigned business area(s).
Communicates research and analysis findings to management for assigned business area(s).
Collaborates with internal stakeholders to develop and deliver statistical/graphical reports to project teams and management.
Shares technical knowledge with team members to identify consumer segmentation, action, and performance characteristics.
Applies thorough testing and quality controls throughout all project phases for assigned area(s).
Explores methodology options, leveraging primary research, syndicated research, and secondary data.
Supports the development of market insights research plans.
What we're looking for:
4 Year/Bachelor's degree or 4 years of equivalent work experience in lieu of Bachelor's (Minimum Required)
1 - 3+ years of experience in consumer research and analysis directly aligned to the specific responsibilities of this role (Required)
Ability to work with others in a team environment.
Demonstrated solid relationship management skills with internal clients (e.g. management, peers and colleagues).
Demonstrates excellent organizational skills with the ability to prioritize workload and multi-task while maintaining strict attention to detail.
Demonstrates solid project management skills including, critical ability to coordinate and balance multiple projects in a time-sensitive environment, under pressure, and meeting deadlines.
Demonstrates strong interpersonal skills with a collaborative style.
Demonstrates the ability to use sound judgment and discretion regarding confidential information.
Finds common ground and can gain collaboration among management, colleagues and peers; can influence outcomes without directing or commanding.
Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook).
Successfully completes regulatory and job training requirements.
Sound knowledge of financial risk (e.g. SOX, ERISA) controls
Change management skills, including ability to influence and gain collaboration and consensus.
Market research - ability to facilitate all forms of quantitative and qualitative research including surveys, focus groups, in-depth interviews and other methodologies
