Supervisor 4 - Revenue Cycle Operations
This position will support USF Tampa General Physicians (USFTGP), the new organization that is being formed by the collaboration of USF Health and Tampa General Hospital (TGH). This is an exciting time and an opportunity to be part of the region's best and only academic medical center from the very beginning. The effort will serve our communities across all missions, including patient care, teaching, research, and community outreach.This position will provide leadership, team motivation and promote team collaboration to attain department goals and objectives to ensure a positive, patient centric experience. Coordinates, and supervises and is accountable for the daily activities of call center support for Patient Services. Monitors quality assurance and provides staff with the tools and training needed to assist in meeting productivity and customer service goals. Will significantly participate in or lead other departmental projects with focus on the self-pay accounts receivable for designation of charity and bad debt accounts as appropriate. Maintains and develops goals, policies and procedures to enhance revenue collection via our Patient Services Department. This position is a hybrid work role, crossing between working remotely and in the office at Management's discretion.
Must be fluent and able to conduct business in English which includes reading, writing, and speaking. EDUCATION: College degree or equivalent knowledge through direct work experience.EXPERIENCE:Prior customer service/collections experience; supervisory management experience. Epic experience a plus.SKILLS: Excellent written and communication skills; extensive knowledge of insurance; medical terminology. Proficiency with spreadsheeting (i.e., Microsoft Excel) and word processing (i.e., Microsoft Word) * Requirements reflect the minimum level necessary to be eligible for this position. Equivalent combinations of education and experience may be considered.
