Tech Asset Management Analyst

Administers the operation of Technology asset management and strategic sourcing functions to maintain and accurate ongoing inventory of technology hardware and/or software assets.


  • Carries out the day-to-day operation and maintainence of hardware or software assets through their life cycle (i.e. receipt, deployment, changes, maintenance, and disposal) and analyzes asset budgets, software compliance, vendor contract compliance, and associated costs for reporting and leadership decision-making.

  • Maintains an accurate ongoing inventory of all technology hardware (e.g. laptops, desktops, monitors, printers, phones, peripherals, etc.) or software assets (e.g. licenses). Assists with reconciling enterprise hardware or software that was deployed vs. in inventory (i.e. license true-up).

  • Maintains situational awareness of all technology assets linking hardware, software, assigned users, and organizational information (e.g. business unit, cost center, etc.) to create a wholistic view of Technology assets and their user base, potential risks, and develop solutions that meet customer needs.

  • Assists with resolving or escalating issues with hardware or software installation or function. Provides responses to requests for information regarding technology hardware or software asset management.

  • Monitors and analyzes supplier performance to identify service gaps or inefficiencies; resolves or escalates supplier issues in collaboration with asset management and business leadership.

  • Assists with evaluatiing potential hardware or software solutions to recommend and/or deploy the most relevant and and cost effective technologies and ensure continued business stakeholder productivity.

  • Develops and maintains standard operating procedures (SOPs) for hardware or software asset management and proactively suggests improvements for leadership decision-making; assists in implementing approved process enhancements and improvements.

  • Remains abreast of industry trends, products, technologies, best practices, standards of conduct, ethics, competitive landscape, and legal and regulatory changes to recommend updates to strategic and operational plans for leadership decision-making.


  • High School Diploma


  • BS - Bachelor of Sciences


  • Minimum two years of related experience in technology (hardware and software) asset management.

  • Experience supporting computer hardware, operating systems (e.g. Microsoft Windows), and applications (e.g. Microsoft Office Suite, etc.). Breadth of experience with a variety of computer models, printers, and other peripherals is preferred.

  • Knowledge of information technology service management (ITSM) principles, best practices, and tools required.

  • Mathematical acumen to analyze budgets required.

  • Experience providing customer service and support required.

  • Analytical and problem-solving skills with a customer service orientation.

  • Interpersonal, oral, and written communication skills with the ability to translate technical terms for non-technical people.

  • Organizational, prioritization, and time management skills.

  • Requires proficiency in MS Office Suite.
