As a servant leader of product engineering teams, you will encourage and enable the use of leading software engineering best practices and iterative SDLC processes. You will attract the best software engineers and DevOps and QA professionals to build usable and functional enterprise software. You will apply your problem solving and critical thinking to navigate business priorities, make delivery commitments and influence stakeholders.

Responsibilities:

  • Facilitates iterative SDLC processes and tools to enable the effective communicationofstories, requirements, acceptance criteria and progress in supportofR1ssoftwareengineering objectives.

  • Works with product management, business stakeholders and architecture leadership to understandsoftwarerequirements. Helps shape, estimate and plan product roadmaps and generates release plans.

  • Monitors team work completion rate, defect rates, code coverage, cycle times and other product engineering KPIs. Understands development risks and technical debt and makes process improvement recommendations to the team, management and business stakeholders.

  • Fosters an environmentofaccountability between engineering team members and between engineering teams and business stakeholders.

  • Determines hiring plan and recruits, motivates and leads the bestsoftwareengineering, DevOps and QA talent.

  • Mentors and develops the skillsofmembersofthe development team, cultivating a cultureoflearning.

  • Advises and contributes to the user experience, architecture and test-driven developmentofproduct features and functionality.

  • Serves as the pointofescalation for team concerns and engineering obstacles.

Required Qualifications:

  • Bachelors degree in computer science, business or similar field.

  • 10+ years experience building web-based enterprisesoftwareusing the Microsoft .NET stack with mostofthat experience leading engineering teams.

  • Significant talent for handling stressful situations effectively, prioritizing work, meeting deadlines and motivating others.

  • Experience in recruiting, hiring and retaining the bestsoftwareengineers, DevOps and QA professionals.

  • Comprehensive knowledgeofprogressivesoftwareengineering lifecycle processes like lean principles, scrum, SAFe, Scrum@Scale, XP, kanban, TDD, BDD, continuous integration and continuous delivery.

  • Excellent project management skills. Self-motivated, goal-oriented and persistent; very organized and comfortable producing and managing the details.

  • Strong senseofownership and accountability for delivering well designed, high quality enterprisesoftwareon schedule.

  • Experience working with globally distributed teams.

  • Familiarity withsoftwarearchitecture principles including open source, object-oriented programming, SaaS, service-oriented architecture, microservices and design patterns; and how architecture impacts team organization and performance.

  • Knowledgeofthe healthcare revenue cycle, EMRs, practice management systems, FHIR, HL7 or HIPAA.
