A successful candidate will be passionate and have a creative mindset, relying on analytics and strategy to have an immediate impact on the business. In this role, you will be responsible for procurement of all third-party transportation services related to Inbound packaging materials, Import and Export Road and drayage shipments, and regional ownership of global ocean carrier performance. Internally, you will work cross functionally with all functions of the Anheuser-Busch US Supply Chain and with several Global AB InBev organizations. Externally, you will be tasked with building relationships.
JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:
This is a newly created position that requires a self starter excited by the opportunity to design their own role and the future of Inbound Transportation Procurement at Anheuser-Busch
Responsible for sourcing & implementation for $150Mio of inbound road transportation, managed in several different ownership models and levels of internal integration
Responsible for $200Mio of inbound rail transportation, moving brewing materials and supporting the AB leased rail car fleet
Support international inbound initiatives for packaging or raw materials, executed by ocean or road
Develop Inbound Transportation long term strategy, technology and innovation plan
Drive significant cost savings through network optimization, competitive bidding processes, and direct negotiations
Develop the inbound supplier base to ensure business continuity, analyze market trends and assess supply base
Identify cash flow opportunities through reduced costs, payment terms, and efficiencies
Work collaboratively with Inbound Logistics Team
Perform business case modeling for sourcing scenarios
Collaborate with suppliers and stakeholders to develop innovative design changes
Explore creative solutions to deliver on our 2025 Sustainability Goals
Perform make vs. buy analyses or develop other business cases to assess opportunities for supply chain optimization
Explore creative solutions to deliver on our 2025 Sustainability Goals
Routinely present sourcing recommendations to Category Director & Senior Leadership
JOB QUALIFICATIONS:
University degree in Engineering, Business, Supply Chain, or another related field with experience in supply chain or transportation preferred
Passion for and in-depth understanding of global Sustainability Trends
Experience in Transportation, preferably from a Procurement perspective
Strong analytical and financial modeling skills
Collaborative mindset & effective communicator
Advanced PC and presentation skills
Strategic & conceptual thinking
Capable of independently managing multiple projects simultaneously
Comfortable navigating in ambiguous situations
Able to work effectively in a fast-paced team environment
Proven ability to deliver breakthrough, high quality results
Passionate leaders who can envision new "ways to win" and engage others
Strong negotiation and communication skills
