Field Application Engineer - Cloud/Silicon (Remote)

Our Datacom and Specialty Solutions team designs an extensive product line serving customers in telecommunications, datacom, hyperscalers, data center and storage applications.

Our datacom teams provides cloud solutions for leading clients and we are looking for a Field Application Engineer to join our team! The Field Application Engineer will help guide and work with our customers to support their continuous technology advancements.
What You Will Do In Your Role

  • Work directly with customers in compute/server silicon industries to drive Molex interconnect solutions onto reference design platforms and end customer applications.
  • Advance architecture and designs and support Molex products that enable customer applications and deployments surrounding customers CPU/GPU/PCIe/NIC needs.
  • Collaborate with Datacom Specialty Solutions product teams to bridge technical and marketing gaps between division and CPU/GPU silicon customers and hyperscale customers.
  • Work closely with Molex standards team to promote and position products within silicon customer's applications, end customers applications, and standards committee.
  • Act as a product expert that encompasses all products that will be coupled with the CPU/GPU targeted customers.
  • Help bring voice of customer back into division with technical focus.
  • Direct and quarterback with product division on the areas of focus and what we need to do to execute within CPU/GPU/Server/Storage customer base.
  • Keep up with market trends related to Server, NIC and Silicon industry
  • Collaborate with FAE regional teams in US, Israel, and Asia to ensure technical focus, VOC, industry trends and process improvement
  • Utilize experience and focus on system level, board level, silicon interconnect, cabling, and high-speed solutions.
  • Provide VOC for thermal challenges needs and ideas/action to overcome and position Molex ahead of competition
  • Work closely with signal integrity and mechanical engineering team to give customer real time design support.
  • Create technical play book that will best support our future growth within the server/compute market


The Experience You Will Bring
Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or related engineering discipline
  • Experience in sales, marketing, product management or field application
  • Experience with Data Center applications
  • Experience in a customer facing roles

For this role, we anticipate paying $80,000 - $140,000 per year. This role is eligible for variable pay, issued as a monetary bonus or in another form.
