Responsible for assisting the Director of Accounting and Finance with the day-to-day reporting and cash management of all Enterprise Corporate Entities by providing analysis and support. Responsible for maintaining accurate books and records of all Enterprise Corporate Entities.
The Senior Corporate Accountant will be responsible for creating a professional work environment, which reflects the Pennrose priorities of customer service, respect and collegiality among property team members, to meet the financial and operational goals while following company policies and procedures and applicable regulations. In addition, the Senior Corporate Accountant will be responsible for presenting financial reports to Pennrose Leadership.
Assists with migration of corporate entity financial records into Yardi
Reviews payroll records for accuracy and records biweekly payroll for all Pennrose entities.
Submits weekly intercompany cash transfer requests/requirements to Controller and Director of Accounting and Finance.
Coordinates bank account openings and closings.
Monitors and resolves positive pay banking exceptions.
Assists with the review of monthly and quarterly reporting packages.
Reconciles corporate entities operating, payroll and other bank accounts.
Prepares monthly financial statements and variance analysis.
Prepares local tax returns and annual filings for applicable municipalities.
Assists in preparation of annual budgets for corporate entities.
Reconciles all corporate entity balance sheet accounts on a monthly basis.
Prepares workpapers for annual audits by outside auditors.
Assists with special projects as assigned by Controller, Director of Accounting and Finance and CAO.
Bachelors degree in Accounting required
3-5 years of experience in general accounting required.
3 or more years of financial management and supervisory experience with increasing responsibilities for multi-faceted direction and planning
