CBRE is currently looking for a Senior Engineer for any of our US Design offices. This subject matter expert will help lead efforts in the Electric Vehicle market. Direct, coordinate, and exercise functional authority for planning, organization, control, integration,

and completion of multiple concurrent complex vehicle charging assessment, evaluation and design projects.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

Coordinates projects with or performs the duties of Engineer of Record (EOR) and manages staff with specific phases or aspects of project such as technical studies, analysis, design, preparation of technical drawings and specifications.

Lead coordination process between trades.

Coordinate directly with designers, owners and contractors on project.

Performs or plans engineering program to achieve project requirements. Organizes project staff as necessary.

Controls expenditures within limitations of project budget (Fee and Expenses).

Review calculations output from calculation software to verify accuracy.

Teach staff engineering principles and how to apply them.

Coordinates activities necessary to complete the technical documents (drawings and specifications) including resolving engineering design and technical problems. Evaluates and approves design changes and document releases.

Lead/ participate in field work (Verification, Assessments, CA Punchlists, Troubleshooting) for highly technical projects and clients.

Develops standard electric vehicle charging designs and concepts that can be applied to multiple locations throughout the Client portfolio.

Subject matter expert on electric vehicle charging design and implementation. Incorporates lessons learned from implementation of past projects onto future projects to assure quality deliverables.

Participates in proposal preparation, evaluations, and presentations to prospective clients.

SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES

Mentors and coaches team members to further develop competencies. Leads by example and models behaviors that are consistent with the company's values.

EDUCATION and EXPERIENCE

Bachelor's Degree (B.S. or B.A.) from four-year college or university (ABET Accredited) and fifteen or more years related experience and/or training.

CERTIFICATES and/or LICENSES

Professional Engineer (PE) registration is required.

COMMUNICATION SKILLS

Ability to comprehend, analyze, and interpret complex business documents. Ability to respond effectively to sensitive issues.

Ability to write reports, manuals, speeches and articles using distinctive style.

Ability to make effective and persuasive presentations on complex topics to employees, clients and/or public groups.

Ability to motivate and negotiate effectively with key employees and client groups to take desired action.

FINANCIAL KNOWLEDGE

Requires advanced knowledge of financial terms and principles. Ability to calculate intermediate figures such as percentages, discounts, and commissions. Conducts advanced financial analysis.

REASONING ABILITY

Ability to comprehend, analyze, and interpret complex documents. Ability to solve problems involving several options in situations. Requires advanced analytical and quantitative skills.
