Project Manager, Renewable Energy


This position will provide project management for a variety of renewable energy initiatives.    This role will work with external teams as well as cross-functional teams of internal stakeholders to lead the development of renewable energy projects.  You will be responsible for establishing a leadership role on projects, setting up project workspaces, developing project plans, leading meetings, and driving progress.  Renewable energy initiatives may include managing initiatives in solar, onshore wind, offshore wind, or transmission planning and development as well as merger and acquisition support. 


The successful applicant for this position will have a roll-up-the-sleeves work ethic and have the following core skills:  


  • Coordinate internal resources and third parties/vendors for the flawless execution of multiple projects
  • Ensure that all projects are delivered on-time, within scope and within budget
  • Assist in the definition of project scope and objectives, involving all relevant internal stakeholders
  • Track project performance to analyze the successful completion of short and long-term goals
  • Ensure resource availability and allocation
  • Create and maintain comprehensive project documentation, including a detailed project plan to monitor and track progress
  • Manage changes to the project scope, project schedule, and project costs using appropriate verification techniques
  • Measure performance using appropriate project management tools and techniques
  • Perform risk management to minimize potential risks
  • Report and escalate to management as needed
  • Manage the relationship with relevant stakeholders and third parties/vendors
  • Meet budgetary objectives and make adjustments to project constraints based on financial analysis as well as managing invoice processing as needed


  • Proven working experience in project management
  • Excellent client-facing and internal communication skills
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Solid organizational skills including attention to detail and multitasking skills
  • Strong working knowledge of Smartsheet
  • Project Management Professional (PMP) is a plus
  • Bachelor's Degree in appropriate field of study or equivalent work experience
