As a Civil / Environmental Engineer, youll have the opportunity to support stormwater permitting and BMP design efforts, construction related permitting, and environmental impact analyses for power, water and transportation projects. You will contribute to multi-disciplinary project teams, working with engineers, scientists, project managers, and junior project staff, in all phases of the execution and delivery of projects. Heres What Youll Need:
In this role, you will:
Assist with stormwater management evaluations and best management practice designs to manage storm water in a pre- and post-development condition.
Assist with civil design tasks related to site development, site remediation, environmental permitting, construction stormwater permitting, and/or stormwater drainage analysis.
Prepare design drawings, calculations, and specifications under a licensed engineer.
Interact with internal team members in the local office, as well as regional and firm-wide staff.
Coordinate multiple projects simultaneously.
Develop solutions for clients to solve modern design problems.
Interact with regulatory agencies to determine local project design requirements.
Qualifications - External
BA/BS degree in Civil and/or Environmental Engineering or related engineering degree is required with related work experience listed below:
2 - 5 years of experience.
Experience with AutoCAD Civil 3D.
Experience with Microsoft Office products.
Relevant coursework in water resource fields.
Possess strong writing and verbal communication skills.
Strong organizational systems and team-oriented approach.
Preferred (for candidates that have work experience):
Experience in environmental consulting.
Experience contributing to energy service area transmission and distribution infrastructure projects (i.e. permitting, design, and construction).
Experience with soil stabilization techniques, site remediation, civil design and storm water management evaluation.
Experience with engineering, design and permitting activities for energy and industrial projects.
Understanding of applicable clean water act and NPDES regulations.
Experience with ArcGIS.
Experience with SWMM and HydraFlow.
