Compliance Coordinator

A commercial services organization in New York City is currently seeking a new Compliance Coordinator for a promising opportunity with their growing staff. In this role, the Compliance Coordinator will have the primary responsibility of the qualification of new residents for occupancy and the annual recertification process as it relates to Low Income Housing Tax Credit, 421-a, Rent Stabilization, Affirmative Fair Housing, State and City Regulatory guidelines.


The Compliance Coordinator will:
  • Maintain multiple property waiting list
  • Coordinate and conduct applicant eligibility appointments
  • Coordinate lottery and rent-up activities in accordance with compliance agencies
  • Coordinate annual data collection and processing of resident information
  • Coordinate and conduct annual resident recertification appointments
  • Ensure proper calculation of income, assets, rent levels, etc. to determine eligibility
  • Conduct annual apartment inspections
  • Maintain resident files in accordance with company policy & regulatory agency policy
  • Generate and review initial leases and lease renewals to ensure compliance with applicable guidelines
  • Assist residents and applicants with inquiries and questions regarding Affordable Housing Program compliance and availability
  • Assist with Initial and Annual Apartment Registrations
  • Perform other related duties, as required and assigned
  • 3+ years of relevant work experience
  • Bachelor's Degree
  • COS, SCS, or TaCCs certifications / licensures
  • Strong knowledge of LIHTC, Rent Stabilization, and Section 8
  • Microsoft Office Suite proficient (Excel, Outlook, Word, etc.)
  • Solid analytical, mathematical, and research skills:

  • Strong attention to detail
  • Highly organized
