About the role Salary:
$82,690 pa + $3,244 Incidental Allowance - Superannuation - Annual Leave Loading.

An ideal candidate for either of the Trade Overseer roles will need to demonstrate proven experience in Facility Maintenance (Building or Mechanical) trade operations and have strong communication skills to manage inmates in running daily operation of the business unit.As the standout candidate for this role, you will have a positive attitude, strong work ethics and integrity in line with CSI core values. You are also required to have generic computer skills, be resilient with strong time management skills.

About You

As a standout candidate you will have:
Proven trade experience in building or mechanical services with current qualifications.
Possess basic computer skills, be resilient with strong time management skills.
Willingness to work across varying trades and ability to multitask to achieve operational goals.
Willingness to work within an after-hours on call cyclic roster and work overtime to support operational requirements.
Meet the essential requirements and demonstrate capabilities to meet the key accountabilities and focus capabilities of the role.

Essential Requirement:
Building Must possess trade qualifications in a Building/Construction/Carpentry or relevant trade

Mechanical Must possess trade qualification in Engineering/Mechanical Fitter or relevant mechanical trade

Current Certificate III in Correctional Practice or capacity to complete within specified timeframes
Current NSW Drivers Licence and preparedness to drive to locations as required
General understanding of capabilities around the use of computers and electronic platforms to access relevant departmental programmes and applications
It is an essential requirement of the role that successful applicants are fully vaccinated and able to provide acceptable proof of vaccination status
