Sous Chef / Head Chef

8 Murray is looking for a driven, enthusiastic and passionate Sous Chef to join our team of legends with the intention of taking over as Head Chef in the future. 8 Murray was established in 2018 and has been growing steadily since. Set in an old house, our ethos revolves around sustainability, passion & balance. Nearly everything on our menu is made in house, from scratch. Our food style is flavour focused food, an amazing sense of taste will shine through the application process.
With experience in the areas of menu creation, staff training, stocktaking & managing busy services, this creative individual will be responsible for supporting the Head Chef in all aspects of kitchen operations. The successful applicant will have a clear career development plan to grow within the company as we expand.
Resume Minimum Requirements
A passion for food and flavour
Full working rights in Australia
Must be able to work weekends
Minimum 2 years experience in a similar role, 5 years total
Strong knowledge of cooking techniques, equipment and best practices
Proven track record - from references
Good understanding of MS Office (or equivalent)
Completed apprenticeship as a Chef or equivalent experience
