The Position
WooliesX is seeking a Senior Frontend Engineer to join our team to support our growth!
The successful applicant must have an innovative approach to solving problems and must demonstrate the passion and commitment to continually strive for excellence through a customer-facing lens.

A Day in the Life

Develop new high quality, scalable and performance user-facing features.
Build reusable code and libraries for future use.

Ensure the technical feasibility of UI/UX designs.
Optimize application for maximum speed and scalability.
Ensure that all user input is validated before submitting to the back-end.
Collaborate with other team members and stakeholders.
Write unit tests for all front end code.

Responsibilities - Must have from Day 1

Significant Javascript/HTML/CSS development experience.
Significant experience with Angular.
Unit Testing using any modern Javascript framework such as Mocha or Karma.
Good understanding of engineering practices.
Details oriented.
Good understanding of Agile & Lean delivery principals. Can provide input to team processes.
Understanding of modern development paradigms.
WOW Factor

Ability to stay calm in challenging circumstances and work through problems methodically.
Ability to question decisions and challenge the status quo.
Ability to mentor and coach junior engineers.
Bonus if you have experience with any of the following but definitely not necessary - Microsoft Stack (.net) , ElasticSearch and/or Azure.
