Provide service support in ANZ for Bioprocess Products (may deploy to other parts of APA if/when required).
Responsible to achieve Service revenue in ANZ region.
Develop strategies along with Service Manager to promote bioprocess service products and offerings to augment product sales and value-add to customers.
Ensure proper and timely performance of service work in line with customers expectation.
Provide training to new, existing bioprocess service team, local engineers at other Eppendorf branches, dealers/ distributor engineers to ensure highest service capability on a pre-agreed intervals in the year.
Provide expert advice and trouble shoot with applications and technical service support for bioreactor equipment, instrumentation and automation related to bioprocess technology products in assigned region.
Liaise with US and EU HQs ensuring proper reporting and tracking of issues happening in the ANZ region
Manage and communicate with regional service managers/heads/dealers about Bioprocess service activities.
Configure service quotations and contracts for customers, working together with ANZ sales lead
Assist with pre-sales activities and support to answer technical questions about Bioprocess systems, involved in the discussion with the customers engineering team to prepare and inspect site prior to installation.
Perform installations, trainings, PMs and repairs in the region assisting the bioprocess service team members especially for high value projects.
Bachelors in Electrical, Instrumentation, Automation etc. Background education, training and working experience focusing on bioprocessing, both downsteam and upstream would be an added advantage.
Preferably experienced with service of Bioprocessing instruments.
Proficient in using a PC and PC-based software programs. General knowledge of MS Word and Excel specific programs or able to relate Windows based software concept to other similar software programs.
Ability to read, analyse, and interpret general engineering periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures, or regulations. Ability to write business & technical correspondence and reports.
Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from customers, dealers, and Company personnel.
Ability to work across organizations in the regions as well as communicate effectively with team members with different time zones.
Ability to present technical product information for customers and support pre-sales discussion/negotiations.
Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as discounts, commissions, percentages, and quotes.
Ability to solve practical problems, work to priorities, meet deadlines and deal with a variety of variables. Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.
Ability to read and understand electrical schematics, P&ID drawing would be an added advantage.
Valid drivers license required at all times. Must maintain a good driving record.
Experience/knowledge in basic computer programming, C++ would be an added advantage.
The physical demands required of an engineer, including handling and lifting moderate weights of demonstration stock, ideal to be met.
