Enhanced School Based Health Services Programme

The Auckland and Waitemat DHBs Enhanced School Based Health Service (ESBHS) are looking for amazing youth friendly role models who are experienced registered nurses, with authorised vaccinator certification, and a passion for youth health and health equity.
You will need to be a people-person as youll be liaising with a range of stakeholders such as School Based Health Service nurses, General Practitioners, school management, Primary Health Organisations and the National Immunisation Register (NIR) team, to provide best practice clinical services across the Programme.

In this roaming nurse role you will work with schools to plan and deliver immunisation catch-ups as needed to adolescents enrolled in the Enhanced School Based Health Services schools, then working alongside the school nurses to deliver a high quality, effective and safe immunisation service.

Along with immunisation, there will also be opportunities to support other facets of youth health clinics.

At a minimum you must be a NZ Registered Nurse with a current Practising Certificate, and Authorised Vaccinator certification. You must be a highly skilled communicator, exemplify lifelong learning and have strong youth health nursing skills - particularly in the context of school based health care nursing.
