The Opportunity
The Australian Ballet has a strong and continually growing partnership portfolio with some of the leading and most respected brands in the Australian market, The External Relations team has developed a reputation for excellence in arts partnerships, and consistently delivers to a high-standard a diverse and interesting suite of campaigns, promotions, ticketing and events for our partners.

The External Relations Ticketing Assistant is responsible for the coordination and delivery of an annual calendar of ticketing for The Australian Ballet's portfolio of corporate partners. In addition, the role supports the administrative planning and coordination of events.

This is Sydney or Melbourne based full time position and has a limited travel component as sponsor events and season obligations require.
Duties and Responsibilities

Coordinate all ticketing requirements for the External Relations team including but not limited to Opening Nights, season nights, Dress Rehearsals, sponsor events, corporate hospitality program and ad hoc requests. This includes the building of ticketing orders in Tessitura database in response to sponsor obligations/requirements, issuing of tickets to sponsors and facilitating day-to-day ticketing requirements

Liaise with all ticketing stakeholders including Company Management, VIP Ticketing and External Relations team

Under direction from the External Relations team, liaise and co-ordinate all event requirements with performance venues, venue caterers and TAB suppliers
Onsite event delivery support and hosting for events (after-hours during performance seasons)

Event budget tracking and coordination including invoicing and/or credit card processing

Responsible for ensuring all ticketing, event builds, and relevant information is input into Tessitura database and External Relations files

Administrative and research support as required

Knowledge, skills and abilities

Min 3-5 years administration and/or ticketing roles

Self-starter with excellent written and verbal communication skills
Very strong Project Management skills ie able to multitask, prioritise, budget management, meet deadlines

High attention to detail and accuracy

Strong computer and database management skills (experience in Tessitura or other CRM system preferred)

Ideally from a fast-paced background and comfortable working in a high-energy, deadlines driven environment
A confident, strong customer service orientation and team player
